I used to think the my story was unique. I cherished it actually, which I suppose is necessary when you think about the extent to which one goes to fulfill their 'dreams'. I have heard my story many times over since leaving the safety and comfort of my life in New York City. 'Took a class in college, teacher saw something, started acting, always believed, lived on your credit cards for 5 years...'
Our stories may sound the same, but how we are affected by them, and how we choose to push forward is what makes us individuals.
I grew up in Albany, NY. I went to college at a NY State college, in Oneonta, NY. I moved to NYC when I graduated, where I studied under Barbara Marchant at The William Esper Studio. I worked in many stage productions, including 'Bent' and 'Beirut', two of my favorites. I met a phenomenal group of artists, and made lifelong friendships. A production of a play I was in with that group, did a run in Los Angeles, and I never left.
